I have seen more than most and done more than most. I have spoken to turned backs and seen the retribution. I am soldier to the end. I just hope when I die if in battle it’s with guns and biotics blaring.

OOC;
I’m still on hiatus but, I did mention I would upload art and such here every once and awhile.
The part to an art trade with the lovely sociallyawkwardresearcher.
I apologize if I got her markings or facial construction wrong… I’m not quite used to drawing drell, so I draw them funny on accident.

‘It won’t last. She’ll be back in a few days like she did last time.’
Yeah, that last hiatus didn’t last long, did it? But, this time? It has to.
Under the cut because of length and it’s ooc.
The scout tried to tell the other commander that Ariel wasn’t going to connect her communication line, but be didn’t tell Emeline that Cerberus was preoccupied with her, not Ariel.
He didn’t tell her that Ariel was using her.
She had the advantage against Cerberus as they made their way through the facility. If there was one thing her paranoia served well, it was the amount of encryption every channel had. She wasn’t going to allow her position to be taken as she and her team knocked down one checkpoint after another.
The sound of her approaching was akin to a great terror, like a charging phalanx with spears that impaled and crushed enemies with a precise and artistic kind of brute force.
There was a terrible sense of dread, miasma that suffocated every man and woman. Something not even the filters in the helmets of the Cerberus troopers could keep out.
Ariel wasn’t going to give up her advantage just to answer the other’s hail. It was risky and it was dangerous, but as far as Ariel was concerned it was either she mow down her way to the other or she allow herself to be overrun by revealing her position. Cerberus was confused and stretched, she needed them to stay that way. The later was simply not an option. Her plans were not going to be subject to change, not when the wheels were already in motion and gaining horsepower and manpower.
“She is coming,” the scout said, his voice sharp and ominous. The vent above them began to drip blood (no doubt from the unfortunate trooper who met his end with biotics and bullets; they had entered through the top level of the facility, working their way down).
They weren’t far behind and the sound of their guns began to get louder, building up like a lion’s roar.
Dread hung like Heaven.
Emeline cut the comm line after it stayed open for far longer than she wished it to be. Even before she reached that point she had learned that Ariel wasn’t going to answer the hail. It would have proven to be even more frustrating, if it didn’t make sense to the Commander. But, it did.
A sharp click of her tongue of disbelief at the scout when he spoke again and the vanguard gave him a look that said ‘Please stop stating the obvious or I’ll punch you across the room.’. Emeline mused that trying to intimidate one of Ariel’s people was probably kinda useless, even at her own angriest Emeline probably couldn’t make this scout shit his pants.
But, she also knew if Ariel tried to intimidate of her own people? It was probably impossible… Though, there was about four of them on the base on her last count.
So, waiting became her game as Ariel and her group fought their way to her and her scout’s position. Less gunfire on the other’s count than Emeline expected, which made her brows knit together slightly but, didn’t cause concern. There were other thing to worry about and that wasn’t one of them. Currently.
A bullet or a few flew from her when Cerberus squads would trickle downwards towards the main hallway, leaving them strewn where they lay. Still too risky to move them out of the way.

“Hackett said something about you looking them over before I turn them in.” The major chuckled. “Well we have to keep you around, Shepard.”
She raised a brow at the other. “I don’t need to look over your reports, Kaidan. You’re more thorough than I am… Hackett apparently wants me to harass him through other channels, if he wants me to go over other’s reports… Hmm…”
A short huff came from her throat. “Well, I’m glad there’s at least one group of people not out to kill me. How’re you doing, Kaidan?”
